AMFP Welcomes AkitaBox as National Platinum Partner for 2026

January 13, 2026 – The Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP) announced today that AkitaBox, a facility asset lifecycle management platform serving more than 500 million square feet nationwide, has joined the organization as a National Platinum Partner for 2026.

The partnership expands support for AMFP’s 4,600+ members across 39 chapters, advancing shared efforts to strengthen the planning, design, construction, and operation of healthcare facilities nationwide.

“AkitaBox’s innovative approach to facility management aligns closely with AMFP’s mission to propel the healthcare built environment forward through collaboration and knowledge sharing,” said Jason Roberts, Executive Director of AMFP. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to equipping the professionals who design, build, and maintain the facilities that support patient care every day.”

“We’re grateful to AkitaBox and to all of our national partners who invest in AMFP’s mission and our members. In 2026, our focus is on creating meaningful, year-round collaboration that delivers real value for both our members and the organizations who support them,” said Jonni Johnson, Director of Strategic Partnerships at AMFP.

Uniting Stakeholders Across the Healthcare Facility Lifecycle

“AMFP’s mission strongly aligns with our philosophy at AkitaBox,” said Derek Blackmore, President of AkitaBox. “Healthcare facilities are complex ecosystems, and our platform is designed to connect stakeholders across the entire lifecycle—from planning and design to operations, maintenance, and capital forecasting—so critical information is accessible, accurate, and actionable.”

Healthcare facility teams face mounting pressures, including aging infrastructure, regulatory complexity, constrained resources, and equipment failures that can directly impact patient care. This partnership creates new opportunities to address those challenges through shared expertise, education, and technology-enabled collaboration.

Advancing the Healthcare Built Environment

“Bringing together capital planners, engineers, maintenance teams, AEC partners, and service providers is essential to maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing healthcare environments,” Blackmore added. “As we enter 2026, we’re excited to collaborate with AMFP to support innovation and operational excellence across the healthcare built environment.”

Through this partnership, AMFP members will gain expanded access to AkitaBox’s platform insights and expertise, fostering meaningful knowledge exchange among professionals responsible for facilities that operate around the clock.
