AkitaBox announces our plans today to enter the $53 bn combined retail and home security markets.
Utilizing mobile and vehicle-based LiDAR, advanced scanners, and 360 imagery, AkitaBox now has the ability to scan and measure every item in a retail or home environment down to the millimeter.
AkitaBox for Retail
In the retail environment, employees with handheld scanners will roam the aisles for real-time data capture updates. The presence of these scanning specialists allows them also to operate as store greeters and informational clerks.
AkitaBox for Home
For home security, the precise measuring abilities allow parents to recognize even small shifts in the home environment, such as a baby that’s crawled to another room, liquor missing in the cabinet in a house with teenagers, or a sock that's slipped behind the dryer. Rescans of the environment are done hourly.
A Revolutionary Shift in Monitoring Technology
"Our teams are quickly ironing out bugs, such as small position shifts from earthquakes or from customers replacing items on shelves after browsing,” said CEO Matt Miszewski. "We fully expect this technology to lead the way in the ability to monitoring everything from items missing on store shelves to where the car keys are."
